BOXING: BENEFICIAL FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH


Boxing for women’s health is really taking off. We're picking up our gloves and to get fighting fit, but that's not to say some of us aren't intimidated by the idea of boxing. The idea of bulky arms, monster muscles and nose bleeds is wrong. Boxing is more than that, and here are the reasons why.

Increase in endorphins.
The best way to forget a long, hard, frustrating day is to punch it out! It is but normal not to feel like going when you are tired but when you will find out that every after class, you will feel completely alive. Despite being sore and sweaty, the atmosphere at the boxing gym is always electric and the preparations for the various fight nights would make you want to get involved.

Maximum fitness.
Sadly, exercise, for women’s health effectively takes more than just jumping on a treadmill and hoping for the best. If you want to get the most out of your body then you need to work it the right way through a variety of different forms of exercise and keeping your heart rate at the right level. Boxing as a form of anaerobic exercise uses up oxygen fast. This means lactic acid is produced and your body will not be able to sustain its energy levels for long. This type of exercise increases your endurance, muscle mass, metabolism and your ability to withstand fatigue.

Enhances hand-eye coordination.
Boxing can help hone hand-eye coordination. When you’re tasked with punching a speed bag or you’re paired up to spar with a partner, you must be able to see the target, react to the target, and hit the target, all while the target is moving and changing position. It’s tough, but with practice, your hand-eye coordination improves substantially. This is best for women’s health as it produces faster reflexes and reaction times.
