MOTIVATING EMPLOYEES WITH OFFICE REMODELING IDEAS

Office remodeling is usually assisted at least in part by an interior designer. Choosing a good interior designer who is committed to the desires of the company rather than demonstrating a certain design goal is always a good strategy. Even with a great designer, it is important to think about what a person or group of people really wants for the office remodeling project.

·         Play with Color:

Use bright, bold colors to bring energy and life to your office environment. Many offices are decorated using boring, neutral grays, whites and browns. The effect is employees that are so bored they want to go to sleep. Bright pops of happy colors can make your potential employees excited to come to work.

·         Learn about Property Strategy

Develop an exit strategy for the office remodeling project. What is the highest and best use for the office? If you were to convert the building for adaptive reuse, what would be the best office remodeling plan for the corporation? If possible, consider making improvements that will add value later.

·         Enhance the appeal with windows:

No one wants to work in a windowless closet. Bring in light and sunshine with some new windows. If your office has small windows, see if it’s possible to put in larger ones. Keep window dressings light and airy so that workers can see the sights outside. Investing in new windows might help you with the office remodeling project, too. Some older models of windows aren’t very good insulators. Better insulated windows mean you spend less money heating and cooling your office space.

·         Consider your employees:

Taking the opinions of employees into account when starting an office remodeling project is a great way to find out about the needs of the workforce. Employees may have suggestions or insights into how the office is used. Choices about colors and themes of the office may be more appropriate for higher management, but decisions about how much shelving would be useful in a copier room are often more effective when the people who use the copiers are asked for input.
