Moving Services for a Stress-Free Move

Have you tried reflecting on the previous moves you have done? How smoothly did they go? Were there any ways you could have made them easier? If you’ve decided to move, picking good moving services in Tampa is always the most difficult decision. While a lot of websites, ads, and telephone pages offer you contacts of local and distant moving services, getting the right one can be a real challenge. Remember that moving furniture require a little extra care, simply because most furniture pieces are large and can’t be packed in a box. It is best to keep the search going until you find the right moving company for you.

When you are short in budget, you tend to go with the option of asking friends and family to help with the move; little do you know that it can be more trouble than it’s worth. Moving services on the other hand avoid exhaustion that hits halfway through moving day. Moving service companies also have the proper equipment, materials and training to guarantee a smooth move. Whether you want someone to pack up your belongings or just move your furniture from your home to the load and into the new home, qualified movers in Tampa will save you a lot of time and stress.

When having moving services help you, make sure not to be tight on the budget. Less-than-reputable companies have been known to lowball the estimate to get your business, and then pad the bill on the back end. Or the low estimate could be a sign that you might not be getting professional crew, or the moving services company will subcontract your needs to another firm. Being keen in agreements will save you more money than you think. You should always ask the moving service company about extra costs that might apply to your type of move. These may include charges for moving things up and down the stairs and such.

Never make the mistake of forgetting to insure your valuables during a move. It is best for you to ask your moving services company what their liability insurance cover and weigh whether the basic liability insurance are enough if the movers break some of your appliances.

Designing Small Living Rooms

Studio types, tiny condos, and small apartments are the ideal living arrangements for students, young professionals, and couples who are just starting to make a family. However, designing such small space can be very challenging. Even experts agree that interior arrangements for limited spaces, like small living rooms for instance, require lots of creativity and thinking out of the box.

For those who are finding it hard to begin arranging their small living rooms, we offer you these space-saving ideas to help you start.

1. Clutter-free space. Small spaces look more cramped if there is clutter everywhere. Keep everything in their proper places as often as possible. You can also explore creative storage ideas so you can hit two birds with one stone: an intact interior design and a clutter-free space.

2. Light Colors. Small rooms become smaller if your color palette is leaning towards the dark side, or if you choose busy prints (e.g. floral) on furniture and other furnishings. Improve the scope of your room by painting it with light and warm colors. Select fixtures that will complement the color of your wall.

3. Optical illusion. Ceilings darken first as the turns into night. This creates an illusion of shrinking, which is not good for already tiny living rooms. Crown moldings can counter this visual trick by giving the room additional height.

4. Small windows, big windows. Windows also help give the illusion of extra space. Tiny living rooms normally have small windows. To counter this, simply extend your drapery rods to more or less a foot to each side of the window. Make your curtains fall at least a foot, too, below the bottom of the window sill. This creates an illusion of a bigger window, consequently, a bigger living room space.

5. Smart furniture. Furniture says a lot of how the living room space will be spent. The trick with limited spaces is to use dual purpose and space-saving furniture pieces. Forgo sectionals, couches, and big sofas. They consume too much space. Instead, opt for space-saving furniture pieces like love seats, stackable chairs, and sofa beds. A sofa bed is a particularly loved space-saving furniture because it provides additional sleeping provisions for guests (sometimes, even the main sleeping provision in cases of studio type apartments.) Sofas with storage that can store extra seats and other things are also very helpful for tiny living rooms.
