Sanwa Farmer’s Market: Tips on Picking Fresh Produce

Food chains, homes, and other establishments want products that are both fresh and affordable. Sanwa farmer’s market provides fresh products from fruits, vegetables, to grocery items and supplies. There’s nothing more like having 100% fresh ingredients for your consumption. Learn more about picking fresh produce in the article below.

Fruits, vegetables, meat, and other fresh produce need to come from a market that observes high priority for safety and sanitation. These easily spoil and have to be harvested and sold in a specific way. Buying them by bulk from grocery stores will obviously cost more as compared to getting them from the Farmer’s market. Farmer’s markets in Tampa, Florida  are fortunately always around to supply homes and restaurants with quality but affordable ingredients right after picking season.

Here are some buying tips for fresh produce:

1Damaged or bruised fruits should be avoided. Check for firmness or discolorations

2. For jarred or canned grocery items, make sure that the packages are sealed and have not been tampered with. Grocery stores should take note that dents on boxes and cans are not good impressions for their products.

3. Another tip is for cut fruits, meat, and seafood. These products loose their freshness when cut into pieces and are not refrigerated or surrounded by ice. SIWF market is one of the main places to search when you are in need of quality, cut, fresh produce.

4. Storage of fresh produce: Sanwa farmer’s markets take every step in keeping their products safe and fresh even during travel. Maintaining a temperature of 32-40F is recommended.

5. Keep them in separate boxes or bags and discard rotten meat and seafood or damaged fruits immediately to prevent the spread of bacteria.

6. Preparing of fresh produce: Washing is the number one rule in preparing fresh produce. It reduces the number of bacteria taken from the storage box or the picking area itself. Cut bruised or damaged areas before cooking. For firm fruits such as melons and cucumbers, use a vegetable brush to scrub out debris before cutting. When cutting, never use the same knife for meat, fruits and vegetables; bacteria of each produce are transferred and thus decreasing its freshness.

Sanwa is one of the best places to pick fresh and raw. It only matters on how you pick them, store them and prepare them. Enjoy meat and seafood fiesta without worrying about it damaging our taste buds and digestive system.

Restaurant German Fort Lauderdale: Ordinary to Extraordinary

Let your taste buds go international. While Chinese and Italian food are all good, German dishes are the go-to food for anyone with a big appetite for meat. There are numerous Fort Lauderdale German Restaurants that provide good food and great beer; from soups, salads, and other popular German dishes.

German cuisines are commonly made with hearty ingredients that easily fill big appetites. One can easily get familiar with German dishes because they have similarities to some American food. It’s actually more of the ingredients and the preparation that define their cooking. Authentic German restaurants will most likely have these set of dishes on their menu.

Soups

Fort Lauderdale German restaurants offer traditional and also modified soups. First is the Goulash. This hearty soup has beef, potatoes, and spices mixed in a base of tomato paste, beef broth, and water. It has a lot of similarities to Italian soups but restaurants provide variation with the preparation of the protein. Another popular soup is the “beer soup.” From its name alone, you’ll know it’s German. It consists of flour, a liter of beer that has been allowed to go flat, sugar, milk, egg yolks, butter, and cinnamon. German restaurants love pairing meals with bread or other side dishes; thus, beer soup is best with French or any white bread while any other soups are best with dark bread.

Salads

Your ordinary salads serve during your family picnic is quite similar to German salads. However, as mentioned above, one ingredient makes a difference--beer. German restaurants offer potato salads too; however, beef broth is added and the salad is served warm. Another German salad dish is the sausage salad. Obviously, instead of the usual tuna or chicken for protein, spiced sausages are tossed in with fresh lettuce leaves and a light drizzle of dressing (usually olive oil and apple cider vinegar, salt and pepper to taste).

Meat

A meal is not a German meal without big servings of meat like chicken, pork, or beef. True to German cuisine, chicken, beef, pork, veal, etc. are ground and mixed with spices to be made into sausages which the country is most known for. German restaurants love creating different sauces to put over the sausages and make to make an even more enticing meal. The most common sauces are cream and tomato based. A cheese melt over the cutlet is also a good combo because it further enhances the flavor of the meat and spices.

Desserts

If you love black forest cake, then you’ll love Restaurant German desserts. Cakes and pastries are also German cuisine specialties. Chocolates are abundant in this country so smooth velvety and rich cakes are to be expected from their array of dessert offerings. Another unusual dessert served in German restaurants is the “Bee Sting Cake.” It is prepared with a basic cake recipe but has a unique filling of almonds and egg filling that is spread between the layers.

If you find the dishes above mouth-watering, then look for a good Fort Lauderdale German Restaurant near you and experience their culinary world. Look for a restaurant with positive customer reviews from reputable consumer websites to make your search easier and your dining experience, worth the drive.

Marital and Family Law Discussion

The rate of divorce in Florida has been steadily growing since 2009, according to 2010 census reports. Although the rise is slight, the consistency of an increasing trend is still a reality to think about. Finding one’s self in such a situation is unfortunate but since there are things which can’t be helped, knowing the fundamentals of marital and family law in Florida can help you survive through the technicalities of the whole process.

Divorce Law in Tampa, FL

There are 2 major grounds for filing for divorce—(1) psychological incapacity and (2) irreconcilable differences. These are the provisions according to divorce laws in Tampa, FL. Filing for divorce requires several documents along with the Petition for Dissolution of Marriage and Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage. Having a marital and family law attorney will make the process less difficult since they can file the petition for you. This is especially important for cases of contested divorce hearings.

An uncontested divorce is generally finalized in a shorter span of time; usually around three months. This category of dissolution of marriage means the couple is amicable with all agreed upon arrangements. Pre-nuptial or post-nuptial agreements help make these proceedings run faster because these documents are considered final by the court and will be attached to the divorce documents during the filing period. An uncontested divorce sometimes means not taking the litigation process to court so divorce attorneys won’t be necessary.

Contested Divorce basically means there is conflict which has yet to be resolved between the petitioner and the respondent. Disagreements usually have to do with division of property, alimony, child custody and support, and child visitation. A family law attorney will conduct an extensive interview to help you with your case, whether you are the petitioner or respondent.

Child Custody and Support

The court will determine child custody based on their assessment of each parent. The judge is guided by the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act of Florida to make sure that the final decision is to the child’s or children’s best interest. Mothers usually are granted physical custody especially for very young kids but that is not always the case. In situations where addiction, abuse, or unemployment is involved, the court will be compelled to take the child away from the source of violence or abuse. Fortunately, statistics have shown that joint custody is the dominating trend among divorced families. This means both parents have equal responsibility or the kids.

Alimony or Spousal Support

Tampa, FL courts review alimony and decide on them with proper consideration of both party’s situation. Alimony is not applied all the time. Unemployment, debts, monthly income, and monthly expenditures are factored in during the computation of spousal support. Payments to the other spouse can either be temporary or permanent. Family law attorneys can help file for amendments in case there are issues with the amount settlement.

Alimony and Child Support in the Florida State

Divorce between a couple with children automatically requires the discussion and arrangement of alimony and child custody. Panama City, Florida ranked highest in the survey for most divorce cases in 2010 and many cities in the state are continuously placing at the top of this demographic. According to a survey conducted by The Daily Beast, 4 out of 10 marriages in Panama City end in dissolution.

Some notable reasons for higher divorce rates in Florida are:

-              Financial strains due to the downfall of the economy
-              The easy “night life” atmosphere in many Florida cities
-              Excessive flexibility of related family laws in the state
-              Involvement of the country in the war

Nobody wants to be in such an unfortunate situation but it can happen to even the most stable of families. Here are a few facts about alimony, child custody, and some other Florida Family Laws.

ALIMONY

This is also known as spousal support. It may be categorized into these four classifications but can be combined:

(1) Permanent—support is given on a monthly basis for an unspecified period of time and is highly dependent on the number of married years. It will last until the ex-spouse expires or is remarried.

(2) Lump sum—this means that money, properties, or other assets are given at a one-time-big-time manner. This option may be used in place of Permanent alimony. A prenuptial agreement may be used as reference for the division of properties in this category.

(3)Bridge-the-gap—it is temporary and lasts for about a year or two. It is granted to a spouse who needs some degree of assistance in their finances after the divorce.

(4) Rehabilitative—this is for a spouse who needs to go back to school or some kind of training to have a better chance at a more lucrative career. The support ends when the spouse “graduates” from his or her chosen field of study.

Assets, monthly income, debts, spending, and employment are factored in during the computation of alimony. This court grant is not exclusive to women but it is most common to them.

CHILD CUSTODY

Significant changes were made in the family law regarding child custody in 2008. The changes aimed to address the need to rehash the roles of non-custodial parents in the family and also to improve the situation of the children for better coping during a divorce.

The term “primary residential parent” will no longer be used due to the effect it has on the perception of one parent being less significant. The term used in Florida courts is simply “parent” for both parties whether they have physical custody of the child or not. “Visitation” has also been redefined and the term “time sharing” was deemed more appropriate.

Sole parenting rights are only reinforced in situations of domestic abuse and other related cases of incapacity from the other parent. In some cases, the title of parent is not granted to either spouse of the court sees that both are unable to provide a healthy environment for the child.

Taking Good Maternity Portraits

Motherhood is a subject that’s been captured from so many perspectives and taking maternity portraits has been a fast growing trend for the average person and a subject of interest for professional photographers. Encapsulating a moment where mother and child are one is an emotionally beautiful sight. For mothers of more than one, each pregnancy is unique and cannot be classified by just a swollen belly. Motherhood photography is an art in itself and for anyone who wants to remember this experience, having their maternity portrait taken is one way to have the memory for a long time.

Showing a mother’s growing belly is just part of the process. Emotions that convey serenity, vulnerability, and natural beauty need to show and it is half of the photographer’s job to make sure the model is placed in that set of mind.

The Studio

The studio does not strictly pertain to the photographer’s place of work but any venue where the shots are being taken. From a model’s perspective, you should find a place where you feel most comfortable with. However, you can also go towards the opposite direction and find yourself an unconventional place to take photos. You can go to the beach and wear a bikini or on a building’s ledge (safety first) and show a “carefree” image. It can be your own bedroom or just your garage. The important thing is you feel good from where you stand.

The Theme

Themes for pre-natal portraits are virtually unlimited. Explore not just the physical side of being pregnant but also other aspects of pre-motherhood. Go for humor and ad quirky elements like a funny scribble on your belly or a humorous hand-written signage that says “Next Attraction: (insert baby name).” Your theme needs to reflect how you feel while carrying your baby. A black and white maternity portrait is a classic theme that is timeless and always perfect. You could just be sitting by the window, holding a cup of tea, with the silhouette of your tummy showing on the photo.

Also, don’t forget to involve the father. Look at it as your first family portrait. Some mothers choose to just feature their partner’s hand on their belly, taken in simple black and white with no other elements and that’s a type of simplicity that always works for motherhood photography.

Keep exploring and as always, try to be unique in your concepts. However, there’s also no fault in choosing themes that are classic and fuss-free.

Make-up and Wardrobe

There’s no strict rule for this part of the photography process but the photographer still has to make sure that you look appropriate and effortless in the image. A little cover up for the little imperfections won’t take too much time. Wardrobe also has to be in line with the theme but also has to appear easy and not forced. Otherwise, the whole portrait will look tacky and we don’t want that.

Photographers recommend you choose either a free flowing fabric or one that accentuates your pregnant belly. Again, they’re on opposite ends of the spectrum. You just need to choose one that works for you and how you feel.
