Is Male Waxing Any Different from Female Waxing?

The short answer is yes and no. Yes because men are hairier and no because the waxing process is just the same. However, in both cases, it is often better to get hair removed in a professional hair waxing salon to make sure the process is done correctly.

imagesDuring the summer, having too much hair can become increasingly annoying for men. With the scorching summer heat, men will sweat more and they might find themselves being smellier than usual. That’s because the bacteria in the sweat linger in the body hair and if a man is hairy, there’s a higher chance of having body odor in the summertime. This is why men consider getting waxed during this hot season.

Male waxing is different because of the experience. This is because men are hairier which means that the waxing session may take longer and will be more painful compared to their female counterparts. Male hair tends to be coarse and thicker too. For example, women only get their half-leg waxed while men may need a full-leg wax.

When men go for male waxing, the common areas are the arms, chest, legs, feet and back. Some men also get their tummies waxed and there are those who dare to go bold and have a Brazilian wax. Well, if this will make your body feel more comfortable during the summer, why not?

However, it is not advised that men do the waxing on their own. Not only because they can’t be bothered with learning how to wax properly, but the amount of hair they have can make the task tedious. Male waxing is best left to the waxing technicians at the salon. They know the right technique to remove hair properly and get the job done efficiently. And probably, with less pain involved too.

Now, if you are considering to get male waxing done in the coming days, you better give the waxing salon a call right now. Keep in mind that in the summertime, waxing salons are going nuts with all the customers lined up. Everyone wants to be hair-free especially when they showcase their beach bodies. You should book an appointment to make sure you have a slot rather than wait in the waxing salon for hours.

As for preparation, the only thing you have to worry about is making sure that your hair is at least a half-inch long already. Otherwise, hair can’t be pulled out.
