Home Manicure and Pedicure: The Natural Way

Giving yourself a treat even at home is a great idea. Feeling pretty even at home is a therapeutic way of releasing stress. Then a good and natural nail care is what you should do, home manicures and pedicures are famous nowadays due to the abundant products and materials. But the abuse of chemicals will just result to a disaster. So go for natural remedies and enjoy your own manicure and pedicure at home.

Instead of waiting for hours in line to have your nails done or setting an appointment with a beauty therapist, you can just get all you resources at home and get started with your own natural way of manicureand pedicure. See how it works.

After removing your old nail polish, wash your hands and feet with a mild soap.
Cut your nails to your desired shape. Most nail or hair salons suggest cutting across to avoid ingrown nails. Plus, this makes manicure and pedicure easier by keeping the nails in lined with the fingertips. Thus, applying nail polish becomes easy.

Soak your fingertips and your feet in warm soapy water but make sure to look for soap with the moisturizing ingredient. This will soften the cuticles and loosen the dirt below your fingernails. In professional manicure and pedicure they use a chemical agent to soften the cuticles but there is a tendency for that agent to make the nails dull and dry. Lemon juice is also a great soaking solution for your nails. It makes them stronger and gives a shinier look.  You can even do your own foot spa if you desire.

Before cleaning, an option of rubbing honey is a good idea. Not only does it exfoliate but also softens the hands, feet and cuticles to ease you from the manicure and pedicure

After cleaning, apply the nail polish of your choice. If you are looking for a natural type of nail polish, there are nail salons, nail centers, and even hair salons offer naturally based nail polish. For other nail or hair salons, the use of acrylic nail polish is most common for manicures and pedicures. Wait for the polish to dry after each coat you put. Do not touch anything not unless your nails are completely dried.

A mani-pedi at home is greater than a manicure and pedicure at a nail or hair salon. You are sure of the cleanliness and the safety of your nails.
